Love and laughter. That’s what Dorrie and Mary taught us. Unconditional love and respect. We feel so blessed to have met the kindest Princesses. Dorrie would proudly wave the Red, White, and Blue on July 4th. We will always place our hands over our hearts in respect of our country, with visions of Dorrie waving that flag. RIP DORRIE. Save us some seats!
Dorrie has been a second mom to me for the past 30+ years. She was Ma to me. Dorrie was my tennis coach at PC. She was a great tennis player and could beat me with her eyes closed. She and Mary took me under their wings and I have been blessed to have them as my friends and mentors for these years. Her infectious laugh and warm caring heart were just a few of the things that made Dorrie so special! She is our special angel in heaven now watching over us until we see each other again!! I will miss you my dearest war horse, Ma!

Oh my heart is just broken. I loved Dorrie. When I moved to Arizona I thought I was going to be there alone but God placed me across the street from some of the most amazing people on the earth and one of them was Dorrie. She made me laugh, gave great hugs and welcomed me into their home (almost nightly) for the daily wind down. We had a great trip once to Rocky Point and played "Cute Little Card Game", "Spoons" and laughed until we cried. When I moved away, I would call often just to hear her voice and she would always ask "when are you coming home". She also said "give yourself and Braeden (my son) a hug". Oh to have one more of those awesome hugs. Thanks Dorrie for loving me and accepting this West Virginia girl. I will miss you lots. Until we meet again.
From the time I was a very little girl I remember Aunt Dorrie coming to visit with my Aunt Mary to my Grandparents house in Carmel Valley. While we saw the two of them sporadically and not very often - every visit was magical and memorable! One of my favorite young memories was the time Dorrie & Mary taught us to play spoons and that whole trip we were clinking and singing and having a wonderful time! I'm truly sad that I have not had much opportunity to spend more time with Aunt Dorrie :( The last visit I was able to bring my little girl who was 3months old and someday I will tell her of her Aunt Dorrie who sang songs, recited verse, played spoons and had the best smile always! Godspeed Aunt Dorrie and have fun telling God you are now in charge of the angels softball league and the celestial social hour. Love Jen O'Brien
We have know Dorrie for a very small part of her life but from our first meeting she made as feel welcome and as friends. She had a happy spirit with a big smile for all. When I remember Dorrie I will remember her sayings, sports, games, fun and candy. She will be missed by many but will be going to a much better place to meet up with friends and family she has missed.
Such a sweet tribute to a very special lady! I'm Pauls sister and was deeply moved by these wonderful memories!

My Aunt Dora was my dad‘s sister. She reminded me so much of my dad. Crazy, fun, and always a good time when they were around. Although we lived on the other side of the US and we hardly got to see her, she will be missed by many. She always called my mom and would ask to speak to ”her brother” . I love you Aunt Dora...RIP
We will miss Dorrie on this earth but know she is a great angel who will be looking out for those she loved, especially Mary her partner of 44 years, Her laugh and smile were contagious I miss them dearly.
With our love and gratitude for allowing us to share in Dorrie's journey these past years. Dorrie and the "Hillside Gang" have enriched our lives in countless ways.
Her joyful spirit will remain in our hearts forever. We will honor her memory by celebrating each day as a gift and following Dorrie's philosophy of "our door is always open". Marcia and Terry
Oh how we will miss Dorrie! She loved unconditionally and continually reminded me that “the door is always open.” She was an amazing, kind, generous soul. My heart is broken and I will forever cherish our memories. Rah rah God. She is one of His special ones.
Dorrie was my sweet Aunt & my mothers sister. She was one of nine children. She was kind, fun, generous & always happy. She was a fabuous athlete, could beat my husband at tennis. She was good at anything she tried. She will leave this earth a sadder place but wil find many happy faces to smile at in heaven. I will miss her sweet smile & hearing her favorite sayings.
